Colvin Taluqdars' College is a K-12 co-educational Day School the school began to grow and was established formally in 1889. with a view to offering world-class educational opportunities in the city of Lucknow.

The School is affiliated to the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) Scholars of the College write the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10) Examination (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (Year 12) Examination (ISC) conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi (CISCE). Every classroom of the Primary Section has the latest teaching aid always present to assist the teachers. Television sets are used for visuals to get a deeper understanding of the concepts. Age appropriate lessons on multimedia players, aid in pronunciation, diction and inflections, perfecting speech in these formative years. 

The ISC Wing was incorporated in 1985 and classes were held in the New Building on the Gomti Embankment side, The building behind the Headmistress’ Office and a portion of the Hind House was where the Junior Wing classes were held. In time, the ISC Wing was shifted to the Red Building and the UP Board was shifted to the New Building in 2004.
